You are the Weaving Maiden!
The weaving maiden wove the most beautiful silks, which the Gods made into their clothing.
One day on earth, she met and fell in love with the handsome Cowherd, and decided to remain on
earth with him. Her mother, the Queen of Heaven realized no one was doing the weaving, and
searched for her wayward daughter. She forced the Weaving Maiden to return to Heaven and resume
her work at the celestial loom. When the cowherd tried to follow, the Queen took her golden comb from
her hair, and waved it across the sky, forming the Milky way, which separated the two lovers. Her father,
the Jade Emperor, took pity on her and decreed that once a year, on the seventh day on the seventh
month of the Chinese calender, they would meet. So on that day, the lovers would cross over the
back of the magpies and meet. If you and I look up to heaven, we will see the bridge of magpies as
a rainbow.
